A Prayer Away

Does it seem that your troubles won't end?
Are you needing some help from a friend?
There is still hope in sight,
Things can still turn out right --
You're only a prayer away.

Are your burdens weighing you down?
Are you always wearing a frown?
Friend, don't cry in despair,
There is someone who cares --
And He's only a prayer away.

Are your problems causing your grief?
Do you struggle to stay on your feet?
Someone's waiting for you,
And He'll see you through --
You're only a prayer away.

If you will give Jesus your heart,
He will give your life a new start;
He'll cleanse you from sin,
He's your Savior and Friend --
And He's only a prayer away.

Sad Times

The love poured over, forming the tears
Each wet trail, a memory of the years
And with my wet face, I lift my eyes
I look for the One who hears my cries
I find Him but I don't ask why

For I needn't know and I needn't try
All I ask for is His helping hand
To wipe away tears and help me stand
Letting go of a life is a hard thing to do

But with faith in Him, we'll get through
The things we've lost, se shouldn't count
Because that life, He has found
Let us all remember that God has a plan
Not one we know, or one we understand

Loneliness

Dear Lord,

I don't mean to complain

But sometimes life down here gets pretty rough
It's sunny outside, but my heart's full of rain
Right now Your love just doesn't seem like enough Lord,

I know that Your plans are the best I must be patient,

Cause something better will come along
Still, its hard to not get a little upset
When I feel so lonely and everything is going wrong

I keep forgetting about You, don't I?

That's my problem, You always make things so clear
I keep looking for love on earth,
I try and try I forget all about You

When I hold the wrong things dear Lord,

I know You love me, and when I feel so alone
It's because the knowledge of Your love is still stuck in my head
It hasn't yet sunk into my heart,
I haven't made it my own

That's why my faith sometimes seems so cold and dead

When that happens, I search for something to make me alive
Wanting from humans what only You can supply
The problem's in my heart, there Your perfect love has yet to arrive

That's why I feel so confused and lost, wondering why...

Why You insist on keeping me from love that could be
I just don't realize that only You can give me what I need
No human is capable of loving me how You love me already

All I need to do is put that truth in my heart, and I'll be freed

Freed from resenting You, cause You work all things to good
Freed from worry, cause I can just trust in You
Freed from distractions, cause I'll be focusing on what I should
Freed from my heartache, cause Your love is true

Only God can give true love

Love here on earth will never be the same
The only way to find real love on earth is to look above
To get my eyes off myself and make God's will my aim

If I'd Only Known

"O, Father," I cried,
"If I had only known
How rugged the pathway that lay ahead,
How barren the desert that I would tread,
I would have drunk more deeply of the living fount
And savored more fully the time on the mount.

Yes, Father in Heaven,
If I had only known
Of the flood’s raging waters that I’d have to cross,
The pain and the heartache when all seemed but loss,
I would have lingered awhile in green pastures fair
Beside placid waters in fresh mountain air.

Almighty Father,
If I had only known."

"Ah, Child," He replied,
"Do you not understand?
The times of refreshing were My gift to you,
Sweet tastes of My glory, your joy to renew,
But this life can’t be lived free from struggle each day,
To become what I will, you must walk in My way.

My tired, weary Child,
Do you not understand?
I’ve suffered your pain, felt the sorrow you’ve known;
There was never a moment that you were alone.
The trials have matured you, perfecting My plan.
At all times you were safe in the palm of My hand.
Oh, My beloved Child,
Now do you understand?"

Grieving Takes Time

It's hard to be in love and let that person go.
It takes tremendous strength to let go, for this I know.

I've had to go through the pain and it wasn't easy,
For the healing through me came about gradually.

It's sometimes confusing why these things pass our way,
And we may never know until we see Christ one day.

Though we can't see the future, there's a plan for us,
And we can make it in this world if we seek Jesus.

Sometimes sorrow clouds our way where we cannot see,
But God's there to lift us up. He's there for you and me.

Grieving takes a lot of time to strengthen and grow,
For it's painful and it hurts, but Christ loves us so.

We can allow Jesus to help us through it all.
Jesus can prevent us from stumbling to a fall.

We must reach out to God's people and accept their love,
And allow God to work His power from above.

We must reach out to others when they're feeling ill,
For God works through others, according to His will.

Love is the key through the heart of mankind,
Reach out to one who's hurting. Don't leave them behind.

Grieving takes time when we lose someone that we love,
But Christ heals broken hearts with His strength from above

Sorrow Soon Dies

No human is within me to see through my eyes
To feel my sorrow, but I know sorrow soon dies.

I will be strong as long as to God I believe.
Through the power of God, Soon this sorrow will leave.

I am still grieving and the pain is still very deep,
And through many a time I'd fall on my knees and weep.

I've lost a lot of time and a lot of energy.
I was numb for the tears clouded my way to see.

No human knows everything that I had gone through.
The pain's too deep to remember all I once knew.

I'm taking baby steps to walk through that rocky road,
But Christ is there to steady me and carry my load.

I will be stronger than before one of these days,
For my faith in Jesus helps me in many ways.

The healing is gradual and to some very slow,
But through the Lord's power and love, my strengh will grow.

I have a prayer to God I want to share with you.
I hope it's helpful to everyone of you too.

Lord, through sorrow and pain, help us be stronger in you.
Show us how to be stronger in everything we do.

Your Word says if we are weak, through you, we will be strong,
Help us to grow in you and through life get along.

Find people to help us so we can help them too.
Help us to love the way you would like for us to do.

Encourage us and hold us, Comfort and mold us.
Help us to be more like Your precious Son, Jesus.

Lift us up when we're down and wipe our tears away.
Remind us that there will always be a brighter day.

We praise and thank you Lord for Your help from above,
For through You Lord, sorrow soon dies through Your tender love.

Silent Tears

A thunderous silence

breaks through my thoughts.
What was once many great ideas
is now a triumph, lost.

Baffling words tumble through my mind.
Reflections of darkness hover.
A disturbing peacefulness beckons to me,
and inside myself, I take cover.

What would it be like to stay there forever?
To be lost in all my cares?
From the inside, looking out -
I cry silent tears.

Even If

Your heart is breaking
Your mind is unclear
Your tired and restless and full of fear
Come to me- even if

You say words you shouldn't
You don't do things you should
You doubt and try to change, but never think you could.
Come to me- even if

You thought an evil thought
You thought the thought again
You turned the thought to action and now your bound in sin.
Come to me- even if

You say "But I knew better, I belong to you"
Child, I am not surprised by anything you do.
I made you in my image I fashioned you with care,
When you cried tears into your pillow, remember I was there.

I have always been and always will I be.
For even when you do those things, you still belong to me.
Even if you do these things,
Oh child, don't you see?

Even if, even if, you still can come to me.
There is a secret place I have created where you may seek my face, this place
I have for you is called "The Father's Warm Embrace"
And when I have held you in my arms and rocked you, listening closely to your fears,

I will place you on my lap and wipe away your tears.
Then, I will smile.
A smile to let you know I am pleased.
For when you hurt and when you sinned, still- you came to me.

So, do not draw back from me my child,
I am Abba Father to you, remember in my word I said -
Behold, I make all things new.
I will forgive you, heal you, restore you,

I will shower you with grace.
I will never turn my back to you, but you will see my face.
On your journey home, when I see you I will run.....
Even if, Even if,

My child, even if just come
